Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional/Registered Manager to lead and oversee multiple care facilities within the Midlands region. The Regional/Registered Manager will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality foster care services, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering positive outcomes for children and young people.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining office presence in Walsall with flexible home working.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop fostering services across the Midlands region, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
- Manage the financial viability of the fostering service, aligning with the organisation’s aims and objectives.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to Fostering Regulations 2011, including Schedule 6 & 7 requirements.
- Drive safeguarding policies and ensure accurate record-keeping of allegations and investigations, reporting to Ofsted and LADO as required.
- Produce and present monthly and annual reports for internal and external stakeholders, including Ofsted.
- Maintain a child-centered approach, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every child in the service.
- Work closely with the Operations Director, Deputy Operations Director, and Heads of Service to develop and improve regional fostering services.
- Participate in the on-call rota to support out-of-hours safeguarding and operational issues.
- Recognised and accredited social work qualification with registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience managing fostering services for at least two years within the last five years.
- Strong leadership and staff management skills, including recruitment, supervision, and disciplinary procedures.
- Excellent communication, administrative, and report-writing skills.
- Budgeting and financial management experience.
- Willingness to undertake NVQ Level 5 in Leadership.
- High literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with Local Authorities and other partners.
