Are you passionate about making a difference in young people's lives? We are seeking a dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to join a reputable social care organisation in Vale Of Glamorgan. This is a rewarding role for individuals with experience in residential childcare or social care environments, committed to providing overnight support to children and young people.

As a Waking Night Support Worker in the Vale of Glamorgan, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and emotional support of residents aged 11-18 during the night. You will work to maintain a calm, secure environment, supporting with personal care and emotional needs as required, and keeping detailed records of overnight activities and incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide overnight supervision and support to children and young people in a residential setting
  • Ensure safety and promote wellbeing during night hours
  • Support with personal care and emotional needs as needed
  • Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents during the night shift
  • Foster a nurturing and positive environment for residents
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver consistent, high-quality care
Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience working with young people or within a social care environment
  • Valid UK driver’s licence
  • Over the age of 21
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to cover overnight shifts from 8:30pm to 8:30am, 35 hours per week
