Our client, a leading provider of adult care services, is seeking a highly experienced Registered Manager to oversee operations in Torquay, Devon, and surrounding areas. This pivotal role involves ensuring full compliance with CQC regulations and maintaining the highest standards of care across the organisation’s adult care services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Holding full statutory accountability for compliance under CQC fundamental standards and overseeing governance frameworks.
  • Leading safeguarding initiatives, reviewing escalated concerns, and liaising with external authorities.
  • Establishing and maintaining audit strategies and quality assurance processes to monitor service performance.
  • Authorising and signing off care plans, risk assessments, and significant care amendments.
  • Managing formal investigations and disciplinary procedures, ensuring regulatory and organisational standards are met.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, including CQC inspectors and local authorities.
  • Overseeing operational risks, staffing efficiency, and capacity management to ensure continuous compliance and quality.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar adult care setting, with a strong understanding of CQC regulations.
  • Mandatory compliance with Enhanced DBS checks and Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills, with the ability to manage complex care environments and lead high-level stakeholder engagement.
