Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, nurturing, and consistent care to children and young people.
  • Support children with their emotional and behavioural needs, following clear behaviour management and risk plans.
  • Assist with daily routines, including activities, education, and community access.
  • Transport children to and from school, appointments, and activities using a full UK driving licence.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment, participating in regular supervision and training.
  • Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.
  • Support children’s development towards independence or transition into foster care.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Emotional resilience and self-regulation.
  • Reliability, consistency, and calmness under pressure.
  • Willingness to learn and reflect on practice.
  • Strong professional boundaries and safeguarding commitment.
  • Ability to work rota-based shifts, including early, late, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.
