Job Title: Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Telford, Shropshire
Salary: £38,500 per year + Sleep-ins + Bonuses
Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in the daily running of the home
- Lead shifts and support the wider staff team
- Promote safeguarding and high-quality care at all times
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
- Support children with routines, activities, education, and emotional wellbeing
- Use trauma-informed approaches to support behaviour and emotional regulation
- Monitor records and documentation to ensure quality and compliance
- Support staff development and role modelling good practice
- Work closely with professionals and other agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children
Qualifications / Requirements
- Experience within children’s residential care
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Calm, resilient, and nurturing approach
- Good understanding of safeguarding and care standards
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins
- Full manual driving licence
