Welsh-speaking Primary Teaching Assistants are needed to support a Welsh-medium primary school in the Caerphilly area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and fluent in Welsh, looking to make a meaningful impact in the classroom.

Successful candidates will support pupils across the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2, working in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, including with learners with a range of additional learning needs (ALN).

The school is seeking flexible and dedicated individuals for a variety of roles, including ad hoc daily cover, part-time placements, and full-time positions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support teaching and learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher
  • Assist pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Contribute to the delivery of individual learning plans
  • Help manage behaviour in a positive and supportive manner
  • Support learners with a variety of additional learning needs
Candidate Requirements:
  • Fluent Welsh speaker (spoken and written)
  • A minimum of 3 months' relevant experience in an educational or care setting
  • Understanding of additional learning needs (ALN)
  • Proactive, patient, and flexible attitude
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) as a school learning support worker
  • Hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate
  • Right to work in the UK
