Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary School Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position within a primary school located in Tredegar, Blaenau Gwent. The successful candidate will provide essential classroom support within the foundation phase, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for education and a commitment to supporting children's development. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with young children, familiar with the requirements of ESBD, SEN, and Ofsted standards. A relevant qualification such as NVQ or another recognised teaching assistant qualification is desirable.
The role involves working closely with class teachers to deliver tailored support that fosters a nurturing educational environment.
Responsibilities:- Support behaviour management and assist with general classroom duties.
- Deliver tailored support to foster a nurturing educational environment.
- Assist with literacy and numeracy activities and help maintain an inclusive classroom.
- Collaborate with class teachers to implement planned lessons and activities.
- Experience working with young children, ideally in the foundation phase.
- Familiarity with ESBD, SEN, and Ofsted standards.
- A relevant qualification such as NVQ or another recognised teaching assistant qualification is desirable.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to adapt to diverse pupil needs.
- Flexibility and proactive communication skills.
This position runs from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with a daily rate of £88.92. The primary school is located in a vibrant region accessible for candidates in South East Wales or the Greater Gwent area.
