Job Description:
Vetro are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and highly skilled Primary School Teacher to join our dedicated team in Wirral. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher passionate about making a meaningful difference to children with severe and complex learning needs, including those with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The successful candidate will create an engaging, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where every child is supported to achieve their individual potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering personalised learning programmes tailored to children with severe learning difficulties and PMLD.
- Using a range of communication approaches, including visual supports and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
- Collaborating with families and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
- Promoting pupils' independence, communication, wellbeing, and personal development.
- Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters engagement and achievement.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience working with children with severe and complex learning needs, including PMLD.
- A strong understanding of early child development and curriculum adaptation.
- Skills in communication approaches, including visual supports and AAC, or willingness to develop these skills.
- Commitment to promoting pupils' independence, wellbeing, and personal growth.
- Ability to work collaboratively with families and professionals.
- Reflective, resilient, and committed to ongoing professional development.
