SEN Residential Support Worker – Make a Difference in the Lives of Young People with Complex Needs Are you passionate about supporting young people with complex needs and helping them lead more independent lives? Do you have the patience, empathy, and resilience to work with children and young individuals facing challenges such as anger management, absconding, and criminal behaviours? If you\’re enthusiastic about providing high-quality care and support, we want to hear from you! Vetro Recruitment is currently recruiting for a SEN Residential Support Worker to join a specialist service that supports young people with complex needs in our 3-4 bedroom residential homes. These homes provide a nurturing and safe environment, with a minimum staffing ratio of 1:1, ensuring each young person receives the tailored care and support they deserve. You will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support, implementing personalised care plans, and ensuring that the young people are supported to engage in activities that help develop their independence, social skills, and overall well being. Our homes cater to a wide range of cultural backgrounds, and we create care plans that are unique to each individual, ensuring their specific needs are met. Some of our young people may present with anger management issues, absconding behaviours, and criminal behaviours, so your role will require a calm, patient, and proactive approach. You will also work closely with our educational team at Vetro, helping ensure the young people\’s education and personal development are supported. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 or 2:1 support to young people, including those with challenging behaviours Assist with personal care and daily living activities Implement and follow individualised care plans to meet the needs of each young person Ensure the safety and well being of the young people at all times Support young people to engage with their education at Vetro Regional School The Candidate: To be successful in this role, you will: Have a passion for working with young people with complex needs Be patient, empathetic, and resilient in the face of challenging behaviours Be able to work independently and as part of a team NVQ Level 3 Children and Families Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one) Have the right to work in the UK Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential Interested?
