Job Description
Our client is seeking passionate and dedicated Secondary Supply Teachers to join schools in Merthyr Tydfil and surrounding areas.
This role offers flexible, ad hoc teaching opportunities across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including Year 7, 8, 9, and GCSE classes.
As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will have the chance to make a positive impact on learners' education while enjoying the flexibility of varied work environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead classrooms of learners in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Prepare classrooms for lessons and plan schemes of work where required.
- Deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Facilitate both classroom and lab-based activities to support student learning.
- Manage behaviour in accordance with school policies.
- Support learners to achieve their academic potential through effective teaching.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of teaching experience (exceptions may apply for NQTs).
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent.
- Be registered as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – assistance available.
- Provide references covering the last two years with no gaps.
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
