Our client is seeking passionate and dedicated Secondary Supply Teachers to work in secondary schools across Merthyr Tydfil and surrounding areas. This role offers flexible, ad hoc teaching opportunities for those looking to make a positive impact on learners in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will have the chance to work in a variety of educational settings, supporting students in Years 7, 8, 9, and GCSE. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers or newly qualified teachers seeking flexible work in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a classroom of learners in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Prepare classrooms for lessons and plan schemes of work where required.
  • Deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Facilitate classroom and lab-based activities to enhance student learning.
  • Manage behaviour in accordance with school policies.
  • Adapt to different school environments and support diverse student needs.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of teaching experience (exceptions for NQTs).
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent.
  • Registration as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
  • References covering the last two years (no gaps).
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.
