Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – SEBD Swansea

Vetro Recruitment is excited to be working with a highly specialised and supportive school in Swansea, seeking a dedicated and resilient SEBD Learning Support Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting pupils with challenging behaviour, helping them to engage with their learning and thrive.

What You\’ll Be Doing:

  • Working closely with class teachers and support staff to provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups with SEBD.

  • Employing de-escalation techniques and proactive strategies to manage challenging behaviour effectively and maintain a calm, positive environment.

  • Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and understood.

  • Supporting pupils\’ social and emotional development, helping them build resilience and self-regulation skills.

  • Assisting with the preparation of resources and materials tailored to individual needs.

  • Providing valuable, detailed feedback on pupil progress and behaviour to the class teacher.

Who We\’re Looking For:

  • A candidate with a genuine passion for working with challenging children.

  • Someone with proven experience in managing complex behaviour in a school or similar setting.

  • An individual with exceptional patience, resilience, and a proactive approach.

  • A strong communicator with the ability to build rapport and work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Experience in a PRU or ALN setting would be highly advantageous.

Details & Benefits:

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm

  • Pay Rate: 88.92 per day

  • Location: Swansea
