We are seeking a dedicated Residential Children & Young People’s Worker to join a leading specialist provider’s new Short Breaks Service in Rothley, Leicestershire. This full-time, permanent role offers an opportunity to support children and young people aged 0-18 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), challenging behaviour, and complex needs. You will help create a safe, nurturing environment where service users can develop confidence, independence, and social skills.
Responsibilities
- Build trusting, nurturing relationships that promote independence and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and professionals to support service users.
- Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking and cleaning.
- Accurately document information and maintain up-to-date records.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Promote a safe environment and monitor safety protocols consistently.
Requirements
- Hold or be willing to achieve the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within the required timeframe.
