Job Title: Registered Manager – Emotional Well-being Home

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Manager to lead our Emotional Well-being Home in Braunstone, Leicestershire. This full-time, permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people aged 8-18 with complex needs. The service provides a nurturing environment where children can develop confidence, independence, and social skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a team of Residential Workers and coordinating staffing rotas to ensure high-quality care.
- Working collaboratively with the Local Authority to ensure effective matching and placement of young people.
- Creating a positive culture and ethos that meets the complex needs of individual children and the group.
- Quality assuring transition plans and ensuring they are aspirational and supportive of children’s development.
- Maintaining the physical environment of the home to a high standard.
- Leading team meetings to share information, promote practice development, and resolve issues.
- Attending formal meetings to represent the service and contribute to service development.
- Supporting the service to achieve OFSTED standards and maintain an outstanding rating.
- Participating in on-call duties, rota cover, and out-of-hours work as required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare.
- Experience working with children in a residential setting, with at least 3 years’ recent experience and 1 year at senior management level.
- Knowledge of OFSTED regulations and standards for children’s homes.
- A valid UK driver’s licence.
- Willingness to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People’s Services.
