Salary: £15.60 per hour (40 hours per week) + Sleep-ins paid at £70.50

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts and act as a positive role model for Residential Support Workers
  • Support young people with daily routines, emotional wellbeing, and behaviour management
  • Maintain a safe, structured environment aligned with care plans and risk assessments
  • Complete accurate records, including daily logs, incident reports, and handovers
  • Support safeguarding practices and adhere to policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with managers, schools, families, and external professionals
  • Contribute to staff coaching, shift planning, and onboarding of new team members

Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a children’s residential setting
  • Ability to work a variable shift pattern, including evenings, weekends, and sleep‑ins
  • Strong communication skills, resilience, and a consistent approach to boundaries

Desirable

  • Full UK driving licence (strongly favourable)
