In this role, you will support adolescents up to the age of 18, helping them develop resilience, confidence, and essential life skills within a safe and nurturing environment. The Residential Support Worker in Essex will play a vital role in building trusting relationships and promoting emotional well-being, making a real difference in the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish positive, trusting relationships with residents to support their emotional and social development
- Facilitate daily routines, including supporting education, preparing meals, and engaging in recreational activities
- Manage challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour support strategies
- Maintain accurate records, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident forms
- Ensure the home remains a safe and secure space by participating in household tasks such as cooking and cleaning
- Work on a 2-days-on, 4-days-off rota, providing a balanced work‑life schedule while ensuring continuity of care for young people
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence is strictly required for this position
- Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with young people from diverse backgrounds
