Key Responsibilities
- Support and supervise learners with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Assist learners at the start and end of the school day
- Help staff prepare classrooms for lessons and activities
- Work with learners in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored support
- Support the delivery of lessons alongside the class teacher
- Assist learners during break times and lunchtime
- Engage learners in classroom and out-of-classroom activities
- Follow the school’s behaviour management policies to ensure a safe and positive environment
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 months experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or childcare settings; SEN experience is advantageous
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC); support available for registration
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- References covering the last two years with no gaps
- Right to work in the UK
