We are recruiting a Children's Home Manager to open and lead a brand new 4-bed children's residential home supporting children with Learning Disabilities (LD) in Pontypool. This role is ideal for an experienced Children's Residential Manager, Deputy Manager, or an Adult Learning Disabilities Manager looking to transition into children's residential care, with full support from a highly supportive senior management team.

Role Overview

  • Register and manage a 4-bed children's LD residential home
  • Lead, recruit, and develop a residential care team
  • Ensure compliance with CIW regulations and safeguarding standards
  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and positive outcomes
  • Oversee care planning, staffing, rotas, budgets, and audits
  • Work closely with senior management during registration and opening

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience as a Registered Manager, Home Manager, or Deputy Manager
  • Children's residential experience desirable, but Adult LD managers encouraged to apply
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and quality standards
  • Confident managing inspections, compliance, and service development
