Our client, a leading specialist provider, is seeking dedicated Children's Support Workers to join their residential services in Pontyclun. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support children and young people in a nurturing environment, helping them achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities- Support children and young people with their daily activities and interests
- Promote independence and overall wellbeing of the children in your care
- Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips to support children’s social development
- Participate in weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking or trips to Butlins
- Protect children from health and safety risks, ensuring their welfare at all times
- Provide emotional and practical support tailored to individual needs
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety guidelines
- Support children in managing challenging behaviour and minimise incidents
- A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for children and young people
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- Minimum of 6 months experience working with children or within a social care setting
- Restraint training certification (TMVA) or willingness to undertake a 3-day course
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
