Job Title: Part-Time Additional Needs Teaching Assistant

Location: Wirral, Merseyside

Job Description:

An established Primary Academy in the Wirral is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Additional Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils facing barriers to learning.

This temporary role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a vibrant primary school environment, contributing to the development and wellbeing of children across various year groups and provision areas, including the EYFS and specialist settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing targeted and general classroom support to pupils with additional needs.
  • Working closely with teachers to implement individualised learning plans.
  • Supporting children’s social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Assisting in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Adapting activities to meet the diverse needs of pupils across different year groups and settings.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Relevant primary school experience, with a strong understanding of children’s educational development.
  • A Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding policies.
