About the Role As a Residential Support Worker in Newtown, Powys, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people through tailored care plans and engaging activities. Your responsibilities will include promoting a safe and nurturing environment, assisting with daily routines, and encouraging participation in recreational and educational activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor games, and social outings. The role involves shift work on a 3 on 6 off or 2 on 4 off basis, including sleep-in duties (additional pay of £67.50 per sleep-in). To be successful in this role, you must hold a full manual driving licence, as a driving element is essential to support service users effectively. Personal resilience, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in children and youth work are key.
