Our client, a leading specialist provider, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a secondary school in Merthyr Tydfil for the 2026 academic year. This full‑time, long‑term role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form. The successful Food Technology Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, planning schemes of work, and supporting students through their GCSE and A‑Level courses. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a classroom of learners across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form.
  • Prepare classrooms and plan schemes of work aligned with the national curriculum.

  • Assess student work, provide feedback, and mark assignments.
  • Support students’ progress and behaviour in line with school policies.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of teaching experience (exceptions for NQTs).
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent.
  • Registration as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • References covering the last two years with no gaps.
  • Right to work in the UK.
