Key Responsibilities
- Offer day-to-day emotional and practical support to young people
- Motivate and empower young people to gain independence
- Provide support and advice in line with support plans and keyworker requests
- Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team
- Build strong, trusting relationships with young people
- Respond effectively to crisis situations with a forward-thinking attitude
- Support young people in overcoming trauma related to homelessness, domestic abuse, or other adverse experiences
Requirements
- At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a social care setting
- Strong relationship-building skills and resilience
- Understanding of trauma and its impacts on young people
- Ability to remain calm and collected in challenging situations
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
