Job Description
Vetro are seeking a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join a KS1 team at a school on the Wirral. This part-time role offers an opportunity to support children’s learning and well-being within a nurturing environment that values respect, responsibility, resilience, reliability, and reflection.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting high-quality classroom learning in Year 2 under the direction of the class teacher.
- Delivering targeted small-group and one-to-one support, including structured interventions, to meet individual pupil needs.
- Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence in line with the school’s values.
- Supporting access to the curriculum for pupils with SEND and those facing barriers to learning.
- Assisting with routine classroom tasks such as preparing resources and supervising activities.
- Contributing to record-keeping by reporting on pupils’ progress, behaviour, and well-being.
- Supporting safe play, lunch, or breaktimes if required, modelling positive interactions.
Requirements & Qualifications
- An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in supporting teaching and learning.
- Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
- An Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to undergo one).
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
