Job Title: Teaching Assistant (SEN TA – Specialist Provision)

Location: Liverpool, Merseyside (L25)

Job Type: Temporary (Up until Christmas)

Job Description

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, passionate, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team in Liverpool.

This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils in a nurturing, inclusive setting and help create a stimulating classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn.

You will work closely with the class teacher to support learning, assess progress, and contribute to a positive school experience for every child.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children with diverse learning and pastoral needs to ensure an inclusive classroom environment
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities
  • Monitor and support children's progress and behaviour, feeding back to the teacher as required
  • Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, respectful learning environment
  • Build strong relationships with children, staff, and families to support wellbeing and development
  • Work independently and as part of a wider team to meet pupil needs
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children in an education or childcare setting
  • Enhanced DBS (required) and the right to work in the UK
  • Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
  • Resilient, flexible, and professional approach
