Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and delivering a broad, balanced, and ambitious English curriculum for students of all abilities.
  • Supporting the planning and resourcing of the English department to enhance student engagement and attainment.
  • Providing quality first teaching, including planning, modelling, and scaffolding to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with SEND.
  • Monitoring and supporting the progress and development of students, ensuring they reach their individual potential.
  • Contributing to the school's ethos by fostering a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • An enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK.
