Job Description:
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people? We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team, a warm and nurturing Emotional Wellbeing Assessment Home located in Coalville, Leicestershire.
This role offers the opportunity to support children and young people aged 8–18 in a safe environment that promotes growth, independence, and emotional resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building trusting, nurturing relationships that promote each young person's independence, wellbeing, and personal growth.
- Collaborating with parents, carers, and professionals to deliver holistic care.
- Contributing to the day‑to‑day running of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Accurately documenting and maintaining records in line with safeguarding and regulatory standards.
- Promoting and maintaining a safe, supportive environment at all times.
- Upholding safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the protection of all service users.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or be willing to achieve this within the required timeframe.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Be motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young people's lives.
- Be flexible and committed to working sleep‑ins, shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Relevant experience working with children and young people is desirable but not essential with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
