Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (SEN Early Years)

Location: Wirral, Merseyside

Our client, a reputable school in the Wirral, is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (SEN Early Years) to join their team.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to support pupils with special educational needs within a nurturing environment that values equity and inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing nurturing and professional relationships with pupils
  • Supporting pupils to engage in classroom and lunchtime activities
  • Assisting pupils with activities outlined in their Individual Education Plans
  • Working collaboratively with the wider staff team during lunch and other times
  • Demonstrating an active understanding of safeguarding issues related to working in schools

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting
  • Friendly, energetic, and enthusiastic team player qualities
  • Ability to work effectively under instructions from teachers and senior leaders
  • An understanding of safeguarding procedures and their importance in schools
  • A TA qualification (desirable)
  • An understanding of Autistic Spectrum Condition (desirable)
  • Responsibility and initiative in your work
