About the Role

As an Learning Support Assistant based in Wirral, your daily responsibilities will include building strong, supportive relationships with children and their families, supporting the delivery of the EYFS and primary framework through creative activities that stimulate learning in English, Maths, and global awareness. You will work closely with teachers and colleagues to create an engaging, safe, and inclusive environment for all children. Safeguarding is a priority, and you will collaborate with designated safeguarding leads to ensure every child's safety, happiness, and voice are protected.

Key Duties

  • Supporting children s development through planned and spontaneous activities aligned with the EYFS and primary curriculum
  • Building positive relationships with children and their families to promote a supportive environment
  • Assisting teachers with classroom management and behaviour strategies
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of children at all times in accordance with safeguarding policies
  • Encouraging children s social, emotional, and cognitive development through play and structured sessions

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong skills in English and Maths to support foundational learning
  • Creativity and adaptability to meet diverse children's needs
  • Resilience and positivity in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
  • Experience working with early years children is desirable
  • Enhanced DBS and relevant safeguarding training
