Job Title: Residential Support Worker
Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent, 10pm β 8:15am (4 shifts on, 4 shifts off)
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people? We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team in Hinckley, Leicestershire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a new Contextual Safeguarding Home, supporting vulnerable children and young people aged 8-18 facing risks such as exploitation. The service aims to provide a nurturing environment where young people can develop confidence, independence, and social skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Building trust and developing nurturing relationships to promote the wellbeing and independence of young people.
- Working in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals to support each child's needs.
- Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Accurately documenting information and ensuring records are kept up to date.
- Adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all service users.
- Promoting a safe, supportive environment that encourages social and emotional development.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- The Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve this within the required timeframe.
- Relevant experience working with children and young people in a residential setting.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
