Job Description:
Our client, a leading children's charity, is seeking a dedicated Waking Night Residential Support Worker to join their team in Hinckley, Leicestershire. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive environment, providing vital care and support to vulnerable children and young people in a dedicated residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building trust and developing nurturing relationships to promote the independence and wellbeing of children and young people.
- Working in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals to support the child's needs.
- Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Accurately documenting information and ensuring records are kept up to date in line with safeguarding policies.
- Promoting a safe, supportive environment at all times, adhering to safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve this within the required timeframe.
- Relevant experience working with children and young people is desirable but not essential, provided you have the right attitude and willingness to learn.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and the protection of vulnerable children and young people.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Motivation to make a positive difference in young people's lives and create a safe, nurturing environment.
