Key Responsibilities
- As a Residential Support Worker based in Hinckley, your daily duties will include:
- Building trusting, nurturing relationships that promote the wellbeing and independence of children and young people.
- Working collaboratively with parents, carers, and professionals to support each child\'s individual needs.
- Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Accurately documenting information and ensuring records are kept up to date in line with safeguarding policies.
- Promoting a safe, supportive environment at all times, adhering to safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications
- To be successful as a Residential Support Worker, you will need:
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve this within the required timeframe.
- Motivation to create a positive impact on young people\'s lives, fostering resilience and confidence.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and the protection of vulnerable children and young people.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Relevant experience working with children and young people is desirable but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.
