Key Responsibilities
As a Children’s Home Registered Manager based in Gloucester, your daily duties will include:
- Leading and motivating a dedicated team to deliver high standards of care and support for young people.
- Ensuring the safety and safeguarding of children in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies.
- Overseeing the operational management of the home, including compliance, staff development, and service quality.
- Shaping a nurturing environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Children’s Home Registered Manager, you will need:
- QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Children’s Services or equivalent (or willingness to undertake within six months).
- Proven experience working with vulnerable children and young people in a residential setting.
- Strong understanding of the statutory and regulatory environment for children’s homes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
