Our client, a leading specialist provider of social care, is seeking dedicated Children's Residential Support Workers in Gloucester. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work in a supportive environment, helping vulnerable children and young people thrive.
Key Responsibilities- Support children and young people with daily activities and interests
- Promote independence and overall wellbeing of young residents
- Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with the children, including activities like climbing, baking, or trips to Butlins
- Ensure the safety and protection of children by following care plans and guidelines
- Provide emotional and practical support to young people
- Support behaviour management and minimise incidents of challenging behaviour
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety procedures
- Genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- At least 6 months’ experience working with children or in a similar social care setting
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
