Residential Child Care Worker – Fordingbridge, Hampshire Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? We are seeking dedicated Residential Child Care Workers to join a small, therapeutic residential home in Fordingbridge, Hampshire. This role offers a unique opportunity to support children who have experienced trauma, using innovative approaches such as PACE and DDP, within a nurturing and family-like environment. The Role As a Residential Child Care Worker in Fordingbridge, Hampshire, you will be a vital part of a close-knit team, providing high-quality, child-centred care. Your work will focus on creating a safe, supportive, and structured environment where children can develop confidence, resilience, and independence. You will build trusting relationships and support children with their emotional, developmental, and practical needs. Your daily responsibilities include: * Providing tailored emotional and practical support to meet individual needs * Acting as a positive role model and fostering trusting relationships * Supporting children during school runs, activities, and family contact sessions * Planning and participating in recreational, educational, and social activities * Assisting children in reaching developmental milestones * Maintaining household routines, including cooking, cleaning, and ensuring a warm environment * Completing daily records, reports, and health and safety checks * Working collaboratively with social workers, educators, and other professionals * Supporting shift patterns, including sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays Candidate Requirements We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and experience levels, with a strong focus on values and commitment. Essential requirements include: * Aged 21 or over * Full, clean UK driving licence (home vehicle provided) * Compassionate, patient, and resilient with excellent communication skills * Ability to work flexible shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends, and holidays * Strong safeguarding commitment and the ability to maintain accurate records * Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available) Candidates holding a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare, Health and Social Care, or similar, and those with experience supporting younger children or working in Early Years settings, are encouraged to apply. Experience working with children with complex emotional needs is desirable but not essential.
