We are seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join a new childrens home in Farnham, Surrey. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with emotional and behavioural challenges within a warm, supportive environment. The successful candidate will be part of a forward-thinking care team committed to providing a safe and therapeutic space for growth and healing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for young people
- Supporting and implementing individual care plans and behaviour strategies
- Leading and participating in activities and outings to promote development
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and fostering independence
- Maintaining accurate records and safeguarding logs
- Acting as a positive role model and team leader within the home
Requirements & Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare, Health & Social Care, or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within residential care
- Strong understanding of care plans and behaviour management strategies
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Compassion, flexibility, and a genuine desire to support young people
