We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a leading specialist provider dedicated to delivering high-quality care and education for children and young people. The Senior Residential Support Worker role in Ely, Cambridgeshire, offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children with complex needs, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of professionals to deliver therapeutic care tailored to each child's needs
- Support the Service Manager in daily operations and service delivery
- Act as a positive role model, fostering trusting relationships with children and colleagues
- Provide therapeutic support to promote recovery and positive change for young people
- Maintain accurate documentation, including care plans, progress reports, and observations
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 months’ experience in a children’s residential setting, with knowledge of child-centred, therapeutic models
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent)
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential
- Excellent communication skills, caring nature, flexibility, and resilience
