Our client, a leading provider of support for children with special educational needs, is seeking a passionate individual to join a vibrant team in Ebbw Vale. This is a full-time, long-term role where you'll work closely with teachers to create an inclusive and nurturing learning space.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general classroom support to students with diverse additional needs
- Collaborate with class teachers to foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Support students with challenging behaviours and tailored learning programmes
- Assist with the planning and delivery of individualised educational activities
- Promote independence and social development among pupils
- Manage behaviour effectively and sensitively to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
- Knowledge of various additional learning needs and behavioural management strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, pupils, and parents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic and patient approach to supporting children with special educational needs
- Flexibility to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
