Key Responsibilities

  • Support children and young people with daily activities and interests
  • Promote independence and wellbeing among young residents
  • Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with children, including activities like climbing, baking, or weekend breaks in places like Butlins
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of children by following care plans and guidelines
  • Provide emotional and practical support to young people
  • Support behaviour management and minimise incidents of challenging behaviour
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety procedures

Requirements

  • A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
  • Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
  • At least 6 months’ experience working with children or in a similar social care setting
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
