An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Dual Registered Manager to lead two brand-new luxury children’s homes in North Birmingham. This role is ideal for a motivated individual seeking to make a significant impact in a high-standard, child-centred environment. The Dual Registered Manager will oversee two 2-bed homes located in Great Barr and Handsworth Wood, ensuring exceptional care and compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage two luxury children’s homes in Great Barr and Handsworth Wood, ensuring seamless operational delivery across both sites.
- Build and develop a dedicated team, including Deputy Managers, Senior Support Workers, and Residential Support Workers.
- Implement and uphold the therapeutic PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy) model within the homes.
- Maintain high standards of care, ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted requirements.
- Foster a positive, child-centred environment that promotes the well-being and development of children in care.
- Collaborate with the Registered Individual (RI) to ensure smooth service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and operational procedures effectively.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the service, including planning for the future and maintaining high standards of quality.
Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager with a track record of “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted ratings, or extensive Deputy Manager experience ready to step up.
- Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and therapeutic models such as PACE.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain high standards of care.
- Passionate, child-centred, and committed to delivering luxurious standards of service.
- Willingness to wait for the right candidate with a notice period of approximately 3 months.
