An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Manager in a leading specialist provider of health and social care services. Based in Barry, the Deputy Manager will oversee two services, supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. This role offers a rewarding environment where no two days are the same, and your leadership will make a real difference in people's lives. The Deputy Manager in this position will work closely with the service manager and staff to ensure high-quality support, promote independence, and foster positive well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of support workers to deliver exceptional care.
- Support 1-1 sessions and promote positive well-being and independence among service users.
- Work alongside the service manager to maintain high standards of support and compliance.
- Participate in an on-call system to ensure continuous service delivery.
- Support adults with learning disabilities and/or complex needs within residential and respite settings.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that respects individual differences and encourages growth.
Requirements
- QCF Level 3 or equivalent in Health & Social Care, with a willingness to work towards QCF Level 4.
- Experience with electronic systems and processing programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Trustworthy, reliable, and able to communicate effectively.
- Positive outlook with a supportive, compassionate approach.
- Ability to motivate others and promote continuous improvement.
- Driver essential, as the role involves working across two services.
