Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the efficient and effective daily running of the home, taking responsibility for overall management in the absence of the Home Manager.
- Help devise staff rotas to ensure adequate cover and smooth operation of the home.
- Support the development and management of the staff team through appraisals, supervisions, and return-to-work interviews.
- Chair staff meetings when the Home Manager is unavailable.
- Act as on-call support, providing guidance and making safe, effective decisions for residents and staff.
- Ensure the safety, dignity, and rights of residents are upheld at all times.
- Support residents in engaging with the wider community, including social events, sports, and outings.
Requirements
- Experience at a senior level within a Residential Social Care setting.
- At least Level 3 QCF in Care or equivalent.
- Flexibility to work a 37.5-hour week, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in nights on a rota basis.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Commitment to promoting independence and personal development for residents.
- An enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
