Are you a dedicated and compassionate leader with experience in children's residential care? We are seeking a Deputy Manager to join a 4-bedded EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) home in Benfleet, Essex. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality, child-centred care in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day running of the home in line with Ofsted regulations
- Assist in managing and supervising a team of residential care staff
- Promote a therapeutic environment that supports each child's emotional and behavioural development
- Ensure safeguarding and care standards are consistently met
- Support staff training, development, and rota planning
- Step up in the absence of the Registered Manager
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (essential)
- Ideally working towards completing Level 5 within the next 2 years
- Experience in children's residential settings, particularly with EBD
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Passion for making a positive difference in young people's lives
