Secondary Cover Supervisor
Location: Cwmbran, Torfaen, South Wales
Salary: Minimum £120 per day minimum
Employment Type: Full time - Monday to Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic Secondary Cover Supervisors to support vibrant secondary schools across Cwmbran and surrounding areas. This role offers flexible working arrangements, allowing you to choose when and how often you work, making it ideal for those seeking work-life balance or additional income.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in a variety of subjects.
- Creating a dynamic, structured, and safe environment where students can thrive.
- Applying positive behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
- Offering encouragement and support to help students achieve their daily goals.
- Leaving detailed handover notes to ensure smooth transitions for teachers returning to the classroom.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Degree or relevant experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, coaching, youth work, or teaching assistant experience).
- Confidence to lead classrooms, manage discipline, and inspire students.
- An adaptable, proactive, and positive mindset.
- Willingness to register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
- A valid UK driver’s licence (desirable, as it opens up more local opportunities).
