Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual passionate about supporting children’s education and development? A leading specialist provider of primary education is seeking a motivated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in a primary school located in Cwmbran, Torfaen. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners, particularly within the special educational needs (SEN) sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality classroom support to pupils, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support that meets individual pupil needs
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of learning activities and classroom routines
  • Support students with SEN to promote their social and academic development
  • Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-organised classroom environment
  • Support the inclusion of all pupils, fostering independence and confidence
  • Undertake personal care responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary or SEN setting
  • Strong communication and teamworking skills
  • Competent with personal care
  • A caring, patient, and proactive attitude
  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one
  • Flexibility to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
