Job Description

Our client, a leading children's charity, is seeking a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join their new Emotional Well-being Home in Coalville, Leicestershire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support vulnerable children and young people aged 8-18 in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building trust and developing nurturing relationships to promote independence, wellbeing, and social skills.
  • Leading and supporting the Residential Support Workers in their day-to-day duties.
  • Working in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for service users.
  • Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Documenting information accurately and ensuring records are kept up to date in line with safeguarding policies.
  • Promoting a safe environment at all times, adhering to safeguarding procedures and policies.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare or be willing to complete this within a specified timeframe.
  • Relevant experience working with children and young people in a residential setting.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory and shift leader experience in a residential care environment.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
