This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, helping vulnerable children and young people develop confidence, independence, and social skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Building trust and nurturing relationships to promote the independence and wellbeing of children and young people aged 8-18.
- Leading and supporting Residential Support Workers in their day-to-day responsibilities.
- Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Accurately documenting information and ensuring records are kept up to date.
- Adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure a secure environment at all times.
- Working in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to support the children’s needs.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare or be willing to complete this within a specified timeframe.
- Relevant experience working with children and young people in a residential setting.
- At least 1 year of supervisory and shift leader experience in a residential care environment.
- A good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
