Job Description

We are currentlyseeking a dedicated Residential Childcare Worker to join our team in Coalville, Leicestershire. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive environment, providing vital care and support to children and young people with complex needs in a newly established mental health residential home. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a nurturing environment that promotes recovery and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building trust and developing nurturing relationships to support the wellbeing and independence of children and young people.
  • Working in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure holistic care.
  • Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Accurately documenting information and maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Promoting a safe, therapeutic environment that supports recovery and development.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • The Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve this within the required timeframe.
  • Relevant experience working with children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
