Job Title: Childrens Residential Support Worker
Location: Wisbech
Salary: £13.20 – £13.90 + additional £3,000-£6,000 per year for sleep-ins
Hours: 39 per week
Driving Requirement: Full UK Driving Licence required

The Opportunity:
We are experiencing continued growth within our team and are seeking full-time, passionate individuals to join our supportive team in Wisbech. As a Childrens Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and support, helping young people lead happy, fulfilling lives.

No Experience Needed:
Experience in the care sector is not required, as we provide full training, coaching, and development. We offer sector-leading training that will help you develop key skills, gain valuable qualifications, and open up numerous progression opportunities within the social care sector. Many of our regional and service managers started as support workers and have successfully climbed the career ladder. We are committed to supporting you to do the same!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe, caring, and loving home environment for children and young people
  • Act as a positive role model to help meet their everyday living needs
  • Participate in fun activities and outings such as football, PlayStation, cycling, and baking
  • Encourage and share hobbies and interests with the young people
  • Perform household tasks such as cooking and cleaning
  • Offer emotional and physical support to help children reach their full potential, even in challenging situations
  • Build friendships and trusting relationships with the young people
  • Empower young people to make decisions about their lives

Requirements:

  • The ability to relate well to young people, share interests, provide encouragement, and actively participate in activities
  • A full UK Driving Licence is essential
  • Naturally caring, flexible, and resilient with a keen interest in the lives of young people
  • Strong communication skills, positivity, and energy
  • Flexibility to work shifts and sleep-ins

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Ideally, a Level 3 qualification in residential childcare (this will be reflected in your pay rate).
  • Flexibility: Must be able to work flexible shifts, including sleep-ins.
  • Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence required.
