In this position in Maer, you’ll work in a specialist residential setting, living on-site during your working days (accommodation and meals provided). You’ll support young people aged 8–18 to move away from challenging situations and build positive routines, confidence, and independence—through both structured support and outdoor activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nurturing, consistent support, helping young people feel emotionally secure
- Deliver daily care and structured routines that promote well-being and independence
- Lead and support outdoor and adventurous activities (e.g., rock climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking) to build confidence and life skills
- Support personal and social development by acting as a positive role model
- Work collaboratively with a supportive team to maintain a safe, caring, and stimulating environment
- Follow the rota for this role, including sleep-ins
